Jacksonville Transportation Authority and City of Jacksonville Door to Store Program

ADG partnered with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and the city of Jacksonville to develop a solution to combat the food desert crisis that has plagued Northwest Jacksonville. The Door-to-Store program is a transportation service that provides free rides to the grocery store for residents who live in Northwest Jacksonville community.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority Readi Ride service, an on-demand curb-to-curb transportation service, expanded its services to incorporate the Door-to-Store program. This program allows passengers to schedule trips to and from their community grocery stores. Residents who live within a designated are eligible for the program and will have their ride subsidized. The grocery store partners include Harvey’s Supermarket, Save-a-lot, and Winn-Dixie, and the Beaver Street Farmers Market.
