ADG partnered with RummellMunz Partners and GAI Consultants on the LaVilla Development Strategy. The study—the LaVilla Neighborhood Development Strategy—was commissioned in 2016 by the DIA, Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), and the City of Jacksonville to evaluate the assets, infrastructure, and opportunities around JTA’s $58 million transportation hub, which is under development. ADG was responsible for creating transparent communication with a variety of stakeholders and the general community that had an interest in this historically rich African American community. Once identified, ADG created a comprehensive communications plan and implemented a community rich grassroots marketing effort with key community champions to ensure all community advocates were engaged. A series of four community charettes were held at the Historic Ritz Theater, these meetings focused on the past, present, and future of LaVilla. ADG used a variety of media to ensure coverage of the details of the project were updated regularly.
